Orthodontics

Orthodontics works by gradually aligning the teeth using braces that have been bonded to the teeth. Different from orthopedics which are typically removable, orthodontics like braces may remain in place for months or years.

Braces are applied to teeth for various reasons, including poorly aligned jaws, crooked, crowded and missing teeth, or a bad bite (also called malocclusion).

Traditional Braces

Traditional braces are made of high grade stainless steel and have metal brackets that are attached to each tooth using a type of cement.  The brackets staighten your teeth using metal brackets and archwires. You have the option of choosing colored elastics to your bracets.

Ceramic Braces

Ceramic braces are made up of transparent ceramic materials and are therefore less visible on your teeth. They are popular among clients who have cosmetic concerns. Ceramic braces require more attention to oral hygine as they are larger and more brittle than metal.

Damon Braces

Damon Braces are self-ligating braces which uses a slide mechanism instead of elastics or ligarues to hold arc wire in placce. They provide gentler treatment and cause less friction on the teeth, therefore movement is less painful. They require less dental vists and produces fater results becuase the teeth can move on their own withour needing to be adjusted. They are also easier to clean.
